  • What are your Candles made of?
    Our candles are made out of 100% vegetable palm wax. The product is not blended with different products and/or waxes.
  • How long do your candles burn?
    The Burn Time of your Candle depends on the size of your Container and how you use your Wicks. Make sure to insert your Wick deep enough and only leave about 0.5CM of space exposed for lighting.
  • Are your candles scented?
    No, our candles are not scented (yet). We are working on some exciting developments to add (natural) fragrances in the near future. Make sure to keep an eye on our Socials ;)!
  • Why do you use Palm Wax? Is that not bad for the Environment?
    Firstly, there's a common negative perception of Palm Wax, but we've taken steps to counter that. We exclusively use sustainably sourced Palm Wax for our candles, ensuring that for every tree harvested, a new one is planted. Secondly, Palm Wax stands out as one of the premier choices for candle-making. It burns efficiently and cleanly, producing minimal soot and smoke, making it an ideal fit for our brand.
  • Do your Candles burn clean?
    Yes, indeed! Palm Wax is among the top choices for crafting candle wax, thanks to its natural properties. This results in a clean burn, free from smoke and minimal soot.
  • Are there any Paraffins in your Wax?
    Absolutely not! Our candles are crafted from 100% Palm Wax, sourced from natural and sustainably harvested origins. Unlike many candles on the market, and probably in your home, ours contain no paraffins. Paraffins are toxic chemicals that can be harmful to both pets and humans. Always be sure to check the ingredients before purchasing candles! As paraffin wax is extracted from petroleum, coal, or shale oil, it has been discovered to include recognized carcinogens—substances known to cause cancer—such as benzene.

  • What Is Your Shipping Policy? (Prices, Delivery Times etcetera).
    Shipping Rates: The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany: €2.95 Free shipping on orders above €50. Estimated shipping time: 1-2 business days (The Netherlands and Belgium). 2-3 business days (Germany). *Orders placed before 12:00h GMT+2 will be dispatched the same day. Rest Of The EU: Calculated at checkout. Free shipping on orders above €100.     As soon as your Order has been Shipped, we will send you an E-Mail confirming the Shipment, in which you can find your Tracking Code.
  • What is your return policy?
    Return Period: You have the right to return your unopened product within 14 days from the date of receipt. Eligibility for Returns: To be eligible for a return, the product must be unopened and in the same condition as when you received it. Initiating a Return: To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at yourfriends@blkie.com within the 14-day return period. Return Shipping: The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to an error on our part or a defective product. Refund Process: Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the status of your refund. If approved, a refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment. Damaged or Defective Products: In the rare event that you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us immediately, providing clear details and images of the issue. We will arrange for a replacement or refund.
  • How should I properly burn a candle?
    Insert the Wick Deep Enough: Ensure the wick is inserted deep enough into the candle, leaving only about 0.5cm of space for optimal burning. Place on a Heat-Resistant Surface: Always place candles on a heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials, and ensure proper ventilation. Keep Away from Drafts: Avoid placing candles in drafty areas to ensure an even and steady burn. Never Leave Unattended: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish candles before leaving the room or going to sleep. Keep Out of Reach of Children and Pets: Place candles out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidents. Consider using candle holders with covers for added safety. Burn in a Well-Ventilated Area: Burn candles in a well-ventilated space to reduce the risk of indoor air pollution. Avoid Over-Burning: Do not burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the wax to cool before relighting. Do Not Move While Lit: Never move a burning candle. Extinguish the flame, let it cool, and then relocate if needed. Avoid Overcrowding: Place candles at least 3 inches (8 centimeters) apart to prevent overheating and ensure even burning. Extinguish Properly: Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame to avoid hot wax splatter. Avoid using water to extinguish candles. Check for Debris: Before lighting, ensure there are no matches, wick trimmings, or debris in the wax pool. Burn on a Flat Surface: Place candles on a stable, flat surface to prevent tipping or falling. Store Candles Safely: Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid Burning Near Objects: Keep candles away from curtains, lampshades, and other combustible materials. Check Labels: Read and follow all safety instructions on the candle labels. Ensure compliance with recommended burn times and usage instructions.
  • Are your candles safe for pets and children?
    The wax itself is non-toxic; however, it's important to exercise caution and avoid leaving candles within reach of children and pets. Burning them is safe as the wax is of natural origin. Steer clear of Candles containing Paraffins as they are especially harmful to Pets.
