STORY...
It all started at the kitchen table, inspired by believe it or not, home design content on Instagram. Perfect rooms adorned with candles. Yet, the flawlessness of those candles tends to fade after hours of burning.
Our vision: candles that stay beautiful, adaptable to any room, and environmentally friendly. Safe to humans and pets.

Our Commitment to Natural.
One night, I fell into a rabbit hole (as you sometimes do), this time, exploring the candle industry. What I discovered was both enlightening (Pun Intended :)) and concerning.
Did you know that almost all of the candles in our homes are made from paraffins? These traditional candles, while popular, are known to be toxic, posing risks to both our health and the well-being of our beloved pets. Don’t believe me? Stand up, and flip some candles you have standing around your house...
That disturbing discovery fueled the passion to create something better, leading to BÖLKIE Candles – natural, non-toxic, and a safer choice for your home.
After experimenting with various options, we discovered palm wax. Renowned for its clean burn, minimal soot, and absence of smoke.
Now ofcourse, we are aware of the not-so-great reputation of Palm Wax Production,
and that's why, we at BÖLKIE Candles only use sustainably sourced Palm Wax, making it the perfect product for our Brand, safe for both humans and pets, as well as the environment.
Our (Small) Team
Our team currently consists of only two people, Rachel & Lars. Two recent graduates, both with a background in marketing and finance, with an ambition for entrepreneurship. We are very excited to put our energy in this new idea we have founded together and continually look for ways to further develop and enhance our Brand, Products and Customer Experience.
